The future musician was born on July 25, 1987 in London into a family of teachers, but soon his parents divorced. Despite the fact that they lived in England for a long time, his mother was from China by birth, and his stepfather was a Nigerian. The family was very musical and modern, so being a small child, Jacks became involved in multinational musical culture. Thanks to his stepfather, Jax gets acquainted with the original melodies of the Afrobite, the musical direction of African American music. This is a cross between funk and jazz compositions.
Jacks loved to learn new musical styles and gradually shape his own taste. Also, Jacks Jones has become particularly happy to listen to Fela Kuti's rap songs, in particular Biggie Smalls album.
Jack's mom instilled in him a love for the songs of Kylie Minogue and Luther Vandross, as well as for the performers from The Neptunes and Timbaland. The boy liked the rhythm and special style of these musicians. All this influenced the choice of future profession. At the age of fifteen, the young man begins to take classical guitar lessons, and a little later, to create his first beat-making compositions and arrange arrangements for rap musicians. Then his musical career continued among the club public as a part-time job as a DJ. In one of these institutions was an acquaintance with Rippermen, a man who had a great experience of producing. Around the same time, at the age of 18, Jax Jones enters the University of Brunel. In part, it was a step not so voluntary, as desired by Jacks' parents, who saw their son educated and with a good career.
As soon as Jacks finished his studies, he immediately decided to set up a studio in Sydenham in order to start practicing writing music on his own and living separately from his parents. Unfortunately, his family did not want him to hone his musical skills at home, as this brought too much anxiety to their lifestyle.
All this not only did not prevent him from becoming a professional, but also motivated him to make his own way in the music world. In 2013, Jacks Jones released the first song "Go Deep". This debut single was the beginning of his professional musical career. And in 2014 comes the first real success. Jacks records songs with Duke Dumont, a popular English DJ and producer, one of whom, under the name "I GOT U", won first place in the English charts. The other two songs - "Won't Look Back" and "OceanDrive" were more modest success, but were in demand on the dance floors.
Such a turn of events was an unexpected one for Jones Jones, and his dedication to new challenges. Two more of his compositions were nominated for various awards, but did not reach the top. Jacks took this philosophical attitude, considering that the main thing in music is creative expression and movement forward.
In 2015, the composition "I GOT U" was nominated for a Grammy Award as "The Best Dance Composition". In the same year, Jacks released another musical hit called "Yeah Yeah Yeah", the composition became quite popular. Periodically appeared in the top lines of local charts. In just six months, this single looked at YouTube over 700,000 people.
All this gave even more confidence and strength to the young musician, and in 2016 he created, together with the English singer Raye, the song "You Don't Know Me", which reached third place in the English charts.
